Can you install Christmas lights on an older Georgetown home?
Yes. Premier Austin Holiday Lighting custom-fits rented LED lights to historic Georgetown homes, following porches, trim and gables. We maintain the display through the season and take it down and store it afterward.
Georgetown Christmas lights around the square and older neighborhoods
Older homes near the courthouse square and Southwestern University tend to have deep front porches, turned columns, decorative trim and steep, narrow gables. Those details are what make the house, so the design should follow them rather than just tracing the gutter.
Our Gingerbread package was made for this style. It adds valleys, windows and doors, wreaths and column wraps to the drip edge, soffit, ridge and peaks. A wrapped porch column and a wreath on the front door can do as much as a full roofline.
We attach lights with clips rather than nails or screws, which matters on original wood trim, and remove everything after the season.
Newer subdivisions and Sun City homes
Farther from downtown, Georgetown's newer neighborhoods have single-story and two-story homes with long, low eaves. Sun City homes are mostly single-story with wide fronts, where a Basic outline of drip edge and soffit, $500 to $1,200, looks tidy and complete.
If you would rather not deal with ladders at all, that is the point of the service. We install, keep the lights working if a section goes out, and take everything down after the season.
Sun City and many newer neighborhoods have HOA guidelines. Let us know about any rules on colors, timing or attachment and we will design within them.
How pricing works for Georgetown homes
Georgetown is about 30 miles north of downtown Austin up I-35, but you do not need to wait for a visit to get a price. We measure from satellite imaging and send an estimate. For historic homes under big trees, we often come out in person to see the trim up close.
Payment is in full before install, by cash or credit or debit card. We do not accept checks.
- Basic, $500 to $1,200: drip edge and soffit
- Advanced, $900 to $2,500: adds ridge cap and peaks
- Gingerbread, $1,500 to $3,500: adds valleys, windows and doors, wreaths and column wraps
- Wreaths and column wraps can be added to any package
Holiday light installers in Georgetown, all season long
The square is busy with holiday visitors every December, and plenty of homeowners nearby want their house to look the part. Whether yours is a block off the square or out by Lake Georgetown, the service works the same way: you approve a written design, pay in full by cash or card, and we handle the rest.
We install commercial-grade LED strands cut to your roofline and set a solar timer that comes on at dark and stays on as long as you like. If a section goes out mid-season, we come back and fix it. After the holidays our crew takes everything down and stores it in our warehouse, so you start next year with nothing to untangle.
